Meet The Maker

Heather Talton, 27 - Owner and Artist

Being born and raised in Wilmington, North Carolina, nothing but the Ocean feels like home. This life long passion is what ignited Nicoblue Jewelry in 2014. I began making clay pendants in ceramics class inspired by the Four Elements - Earth, Air, Fire and Water. I also started to wire wrap my collection of hand sourced gemstones and local seashells. During my time in college, I had just begun to teach myself the basics and started selling my jewelry at local markets & surf shops. I enrolled in The Metalsmithing and Jewelry classes at Cape Fear Community College shortly before opening my own storefront in Wrightsville Beach. With support from all of my amazing customers, Nicoblue became a successful brand and boutique. I operated my retail space until Winter 2018, when I decided to make the move to Key West, Florida!
All of my designs reflect my deep passion for the Ocean, the Sky and all things beautiful in Nature. Some of my favorite mediums to work with and explore are Copper, Brass, Sterling Silver, Natural Minerals, Crystals, Cruelty Free Materials + Recycled Items. The Classic Nicoblue Wave was established just a few months into my Metal Smithing career. It was the first effortless design I had ever created and I knew it was going to bloom into something special. The Ocean has my heart and will forever be my home. I appreciate you all and I hope you continue to grow with me and my Brand.
